Notice on the Integration and Migration of NMSC Data Provision Services

We sincerely thank all users for utilizing the National Meteorological Satellite Center (NMSC).

To provide a more stable service, the NMSC Data Provision Service (datasvc.nmsc.kma.go.kr) will be integrated and migrated to the KMA Data Portal and API Hub.

Accordingly, the existing services will be terminated according to the schedule below. Please check in advance and take necessary measures.

1. Service Integration and Migration

○ Data Request & Download

- New :

KMA Data Portal (data.kma.go.kr / Data / Meteorological Satellite)

- Action Required :

Please use the KMA Data Portal to access satellite data going forward.

○ Open API

- Current :

NMSC Website (kma.go.kr / Open API)

- New :

KMA API Hub (apihub.kma.go.kr / Satellite)

- Action Required :

Before the termination date, please obtain a new authentication key from the KMA API Hub and update your API endpoint accordingly.

2. Service Termination Schedule

○ Data Provision Service: November 7, 2025

○ Open API Service: December 22, 2025

Please ensure that you complete all necessary adjustments before the termination dates to avoid service disruptions.

We will do our best to provide more reliable satellite data services.
